Today's Question: What do you do at your home church to help?

Autumn:I am a Eucharistic Minister and take part as an acolyte and as Chalice Bearer during services. Also, I help with the Sunday School program during the school year.

Abby: I acolyte, I'm on the Altar Guild, youth representative on Vestry, and I'm a Sunday School teacher.

Tara and Taylor: We acolyte and we are helping clean out the basement.

Highlights:

Patrick and Olivia arrived at camp this morning.

Abby had a huge burp in the middle of lunch and dinner and game night.

Quinn had a very special ice cream cone.

Donald found a bug.

We took a walk to Starbucks during free time. It was fun and yummy : )

Singing during dinner time : )

Playing pool during game night was a favorite for most.

Senior High Conference - Sunday June 28, 2009

So we all arrived safely at camp ... well almost all of us (more on that tomorrow!) It was so great to see old friends and begin to make new ones. After everyone had settled into their rooms, it was time for the fun to begin!!

The first order of business was housekeeping rules and with those out of the way, we set to getting on with the REAL business of camp ... silliness. The first order of business was a game where towers were built with cups, string and rubberbands .. oh and steady hands (and lots of laughter) ... GOOD JOB ALL!!

Next, there was a spelling test. Well, kinda ... spelling words with just your bodies and everyone was so creative. Impressive use of sign language and symbols even though some of the adults were a little dyslexic (but no names will be mentioned here since we are all frienbs!)

Thanks to Jay for letting us store our stress and troubles in the MAGIC BOX and thank you to Quinn for putting the lock on it so they would not escape.

Classes this year by the Bish, Fr. John Paul, Fr. Harry & Giselle, and the Brauzas were filled up quickly and the new teams were eagerly staffed without any serious injuries requiring Nurse Belle.

Our evening ended with Compline and then off to bed (well that was supposed to be the plan ...) to rest for exciting first full day of camp!!
